GOLDEN HOUR IN NYC

GOLDEN HOUR IN NYC

Hello my darlings, I hope everyone had a great and productive Labor Day weekend! I can’t believe it’s September already!

Since college classes officially started today at Rutgers University, I used the long weekend to build my new closet (post coming soon), to prepare for the Fall semester, and to pull some looks to get ready for New York Fashion Week this week. I had so many things on my to-do list that I needed to get done before the Fall semester started, so that I didn’t have enough time to organize my closet just yet. I’m planning to do that very soon, and to go through my clothes and create a donate and Poshmark pile. Once I am finished with this project, I will share a blog post about my new closet and some tips about how to declutter your wardrobe.

About the look: This red H&M dress was and is definitely one of my favorite summer dresses, because it is so airy (perfect for 90+ degrees) and the cut is absolutely flattering. Until about a year ago I actually never used to wear any red clothing pieces. The only way for me to wear red was either on my nails or my lips. Now I really love wearing red dresses, and it actually has become one of my favorite dress colors. Red just looks great on pale skin. And one of my absolute favorite parts about this dress is that it reminds me of one of my absolute favorite emojis the salsa dancer emoji and it makes me want to just twirl around 😀 Since I was walking around the city all afternoon, I chose to wear comfortable sneakers. To add a little sparkle to my look I decided to go for my silver metallic backpack that I got at Francesca’s last year, metallic statement pieces are definitely back this season!

I hope everyone had a good start into a new week, and a good start into a new semester 🙂 Also, let me know if you guys want me to cover anything specific during New York Fashion Week. And as always, thank you so much for reading and I would love to hear your thoughts. xx Joëlle
